An Indian Summer that will live long in the memory – Bob Law
Scotland is a fickle country. It’s taken me several decades to work out that we only get one good summer in four… yet every year we always look forward to a long hot summer in Scotland, conveniently forgetting that past weather records are not in our favour, as we stick out into the Atlantic Ocean and are at the mercy of the jet stream and four different weather systems fighting above us for supremacy.
This year however a poor summer has been saved by one of the best September’s I can remember with cloudless blue skies and heat in abundance yet with the added magic of crisp misty mornings, dew sparkling on the grass, fog inversions in low lying valleys, and memorable sunsets.
