Lulu Danger sees a TV commercial for the magical event of the film’s title, and is stunned when she recognises a mysterious man from her past. Fleeing her scheming husband, she enlists a bumbling ‘hitman’ and together they go in search of the mysterious Beverly Luff Linn.
Set in a bizarre alternate reality that resembles a feature-length episode of The Mighty Boosh directed by Wes Anderson, this is a weird and wonderful comedy with a surprisingly sweet love story underneath all its silliness. The brilliant cast includes Aubrey Plaza, Jemaine Clement, Matt Berry and Emile Hirsch in a performance that is sure to divide audience opinions. Concluding with arguably the funniest dance scenes of the year, Beverly Luff Linn is destined for cult classic status.
The screening on Fri 26 Oct (20.30) will have an on-screen introduction from Writer/Director Jim Hosking and Writer/Producer David Wike.
